Painting sunhats in the sunlight is one of my most favorite things to do. When they happen to be on the heads of my two little nieces, even better. This painting will be up for auction at the Art in the Garden fundraiser for the Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, Bridgehampton's Catholic Church, in July.

The Lookout
I am so drawn to the power of women when they are looking out for their children. This woman's children happen to be swimming in the surf and I can feel her holding them in her vision. She's standing firm, her eyes glued and she's not budging until they are safe and (in this case) out of the sound.

Sleep Walking
Nothing is as wonderful as a sleeping baby...well, maybe a sleeping baby at the ocean! This painting is in homage to all the mothers who have walked, and walked and walked, waiting for baby to nod off. Happy Mother's Day.
