Purchase Information
Since sunflowers last a long time, I decided to create a large painting of this still life. It is 11"x14" - way bigger than my usual 6"x 6" - and took two sessions to complete. The sunflowers held up nicely. Overall, they are a very forgiving flower to paint, unlike roses where one false stroke, and you might end up with a tulip on your hands... or canvas! Think I might be off to buy another bunch of these beauties tomorrow. Available as a note card.

Brothers

The boys featured are my friend Peter's nephews. He had a few old photographs of them - they are both now in college - and wondered if I could create a painting for him. I did. He plans to surprise his brother and sister-in-law with it for their upcoming 25th wedding anniversary. Some great uncle... some great brother, and a really great friend! Thanks, Peter, for all your support.

This is a little painting I made for my sister and brother-in-law's 60th birthday present. It is of their 4 grandchildren. The 60th birthday party was two years ago, and I am delivering the painting today! Everyone is two years older... but I still live by the motto - better late than never!

Have you ever walked by a house and wished you could just go in and have a peek? Maybe stay for a while and have a cup of tea with the wonderful family that must live inside? Well, that's pretty much the feeling I get anytime I walk down a street in Sag Harbor. The houses are all so sweet you can almost taste them. SOLD

Two on a Tube
SOLD
Remember the days before boogie boards? Just looking at this I can feel the slippery wet rubber of the inner tube and the circular pull of the tide. Also remembering the annoying little valve where you put the air in...never failed to give you a good scrape behind your knee! Good times!!

Back to the Beach
I love these little tan bodies just plopped down in the sand. You can just feel their contentment, most likely from a long day swimming in the sea. The sweetness of summer is just around the corner. The little kid in me can't wait!
