Purchase Information
I am pleased with the movement of color around and across the white jug in this painting. I feel it captures the sunlight as it bounces off the books, pears and tabletop. Painting "white" by putting color into it, is a total rush for me. There once was a time when I couldn't even see color in white, never mind paint it. It is wonderful to continue to advance in my ability to really see. Ironically, it comes at a time in my life when I have to wear glasses!

Lily Bouquet in Blue
SOLD
White lilies are some of my favorite flowers to paint. Their subtle color changes and curled and trumpeted shapes lend some measure of abstraction that I find quite intriguing. Oh, and when I place them in my favorite cobalt blue vase, well, how can I lose?

Lilies in Blue
Purchase Information
I am still working in north light and am loving it. I grabbed this bunch of white lilies from the grocery store and set them in a tall cobalt blue vase that I bought in Florida years and years ago. The combination made for a beautiful still life... and to add to the joy of painting such a vibrant arrangement, was the incredible sweet scent that went with it.
